Recently Ford selected Croatia for its international presentation of its new electric Mustang Mach-E GT. Over ten days, journalists from all over the world arrived in Rovinj to test drive and review the car, including one of the world’s leading motoring media, Top Gear, who sent the magazine’s senior road test editor Ollie Kew to take the Mustang Mach-E GT for a spin.

My role was dedicated to the creative across video production, experiential and the physical space, helping to bring this vehicle launch to life. Working across multiple teams, I lead the creative on the Graphics team to develop the event’s look and feel, travelled to find venues, designed the set builds, and collaborated with the build teams and industry leading technology partners to make those structures a reality. Once the event was underway, the film crew and I set out to capture additional video content in the local areas.

By combining clever use of content with innovative display builds we quickly captured the attention of media attendees and held it. Key points around the event involved the LED installation at the entrance, along with the stage build design and video content for the opening presentation.

The design team was committed to creating a statement piece of motion content for the front entrance. We created a bespoke installation using nine LED totems. From initial sketches through to prototype testing, we nailed the correct angles, height and perspective so that the full image, logos and welcome message could be read perfectly.

The impact: A striking and professional finish that was highly flexible and cost effective during the height of the pandemic. Our solutions enabled our clients to resume small, controlled media launches at a time when extra pressure was being mounted on positive coverage, sales targets and budget efficiency.
